Michele Rafeld is a Registered Dietitian and culinary nutritionist.  Michele had a passion for cooking since she was a child and prepared dinners for her family when she was only nine years old. 


After graduating from The University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in Communications, she enrolled in the Natural Gourmet Institute where she completed both the Chef Training and Food Therapy Program. Michele holds a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her Dietetic Internship at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, part of the North Shore LIJ Health System.


Michele uses her strong foundation of nutrition science coupled with her extensive culinary background to deliver quality nutrition care.  Michele is a mom of two young children and has a passion for working with children and families. Michele specializes in treating adolescents and adults with eating disorders, prenatal nutrition, infant/toddler nutrition and gastrointestinal symptoms. 


Her ability to connect compassionately with her patients in addition to providing group culinary virtual sessions has been a welcomed addition to the PranaSpirit Nutrition & Wellness team. Michele believes that food tastes best when it is in its most whole form and is excited to help clients reconnect with food.
